Sundance by Private Jet
A mountain airport, a compressed arrival window, and weather with a vote.
Sundance is one of the few weeks a year when a regional Utah airport handles more private traffic than it was ever built to enjoy.
The appeal is obvious. It's a long enough leg from the Tri-State area that the commercial version genuinely costs you a day, and the schedule is tight enough that the day matters. But this is mountain flying in January, and that changes the arithmetic in ways a Florida route never will.
Two things drive everything on this trip: the airfield and the weather. Mountain airports have real performance constraints, and the aircraft that works fine to Miami may not be the aircraft that works here. Then January adds its own opinion. A plan that assumes you land exactly when you intended is not a plan.
Everyone also wants to arrive in the same narrow window, which does to the ramp what it does to the hotels.

We're working through the departure options, the aircraft realities of a mountain airfield in winter, and what a sensible weather contingency actually looks like. If you're planning ahead, send us the details and we'll talk it through.
